Andrew Nembhard was motivated to sign a three-year, $59 million extension with the Indiana Pacers rather than the four-year, $70 million deal he was eligible for this offseason, sources tell Marc Stein of The Stein Line. Nembhard, who is represented by Todd Ramasar and Jaafar Choufani, will become a free agent again in 2027 at the age of 27 with the chance of signing another major contract.
In two seasons since being the 31st pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, Nembhard has appeared in 143 games with 110 starts. He’s averaged 9.3 points, 4.3 assists and shot 46.7% from the field.
In reviewing their future free agent details, the Pacers now have Nesmith signed through 2027, Pascal Siakam and Obi Toppin through 2028 and Tyrese Haliburton through 2029.
