It took a little longer than expected, but former Nebraska sharpshooter Keisei Tominaga has found a home in the NBA.
According to ESPN, Tominaga has agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal with the Indiana Pacers.
Tominaga is an intriguing prospect due to his 3-point shooting. In his final season of college basketball, he averaged 15.1 points per game on 37.6 percent shooting from downtown.
The hope for Tominaga is that he can stretch the floor for the Pacers. In order to do that, he’ll need to continue knocking down deep shots at an efficient clip. Of course, he’ll also have to contribute on the defensive end to some degree.
Overall, this past month has been quite kind to Tominaga, who recently became the first international athlete to partner with Steph Curry’s brand.
“It is an incredible honor to join Curry Brand and be among its elite roster of athletes,” Tominaga said, via On3. Steph has always been one of my basketball heroes and I have worked hard to emulate his game in my own basketball career, so to be able to represent his brand and everything he stands for is a dream come true.”
While it’s way too early to determine if Tominaga will have a long NBA career, we’re certainly glad he’s under contract for the 2024-25 season.
