While the trio of LeBron James, Steph Curry and Kevin Durant got most of the love in Team USA’s gold medal-winning run at the Olympic Games, nine other players will return home with medals around their necks – even the ones who barely played.
Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton is one such player – and he knows it. Taking to X after having played a grand total of 26 minutes in the Olympics, Haliburton perfectly trolled himself by sharing a photo of his gold medal and comparing his situation to doing nothing in a group project at school.
“When you ain’t do nun on the group project and still get an A,” Haliburton wrote.

Fans, foes and even Elon Musk all found the post hilarious and have been giving the two-time All-Star guard props:
“Bro got an all expenses paid trip to Paris to watch the Olympics and got a gold medal. W,” one user replied.
“Can’t even hate, bro embraced it all Olympics,” an account called Hater Central wrote.
“got a fan in me after tweeting this no cap,” wrote a third.
Haliburton can now lay claim to something that many other NBA greats never could or never will achieve – and he barely had to do anything to get it. Plus he got an all expenses paid trip to Paris, France as part of the bargain.
Not a bad deal.
