The Pacers road show has been plenty entertaining thus far.
The Pacers are on the road for one more game on Monday night in Brooklyn in what has turned into an eventful first road trip.
First, the team’s offensive prowess has burst forth on the road, leading to back-to-back wins over the weekend with Tyrese Haliburton and Bennedict Mathurin continuing to make the rest of the league take notice. Then Myles Turner took advantage of his monster game on Friday (after taking Saturday night off) to extoll his basketball virtues on the Woj Pod.
For a 3-4 squad, the Pacers are anything but boring right now for NBA junkies paying the slightest bit of attention to the league. To add to the intrigue, it seems like Rick Carlisle is juggling his playing rotation every night while dealing with both minor injuries and a quest to play some close-to-average defense to go along with on of the top offenses (7th in Off Rtg) in the league thus far. The Pacers rank 27th in the NBA in defensive rating, so the struggles continue to guard both the rim and the perimeter at the same time without getting caught looking the wrong way.
After playing the Nets on Monday night, the Pacers will have three full off days at home to continue working on the defensive end before a gnarly four-game homestand starts on Friday night against Miami.

Doyel: Pacers’ Myles Turner wants trade to Lakers, where LeBron James reigns
“Pay attention, kids. Myles Turner is giving a seminar in leadership, and you’ll want to watch what he does, and hear what he says. Talking to you as well, Tyrese Haliburton and Bennedict Mathurin. You’re not kids – you’re the Indiana Pacers’ backcourt of the present, and future – but it would serve you well to pay attention to Turner, to how he carries himself in his final days with the Pacers. And do the complete opposite.”
