The Pacers continue their quest for a win on Saturday night.
The Pacers wrap up their homestand on Saturday night when they host the Detroit Pistons.
After two frustrating losses, that included mad scrambles late for the dub, the Pacers and coach Rick Carlisle continue tinkering with lineups to find combinations that will work well together on the offensive end, as well as better than decent on the defensive end. Regardless of how that shakes out, at winning time Tyrese Haliburton and rookie Bennedict Mathurin have to be in the mix as both have shown they will take it to the 48th minute before trying to make plays.
The Pistons are 1-1 and about a year to 18 months ahead of the Pacers in their rebuild, stacked with young talent led by Cade Cunningham and rookie local legend, Jaden Ivey. The Pistons also brought in a couple of familiar vets in former Pacers Bojan Bogdanovic and Corey Joseph to help the youngins push to another level.
After two games, it is safe to say that the Pacers have to get off to a better start, having struggled in their first two games to slow down either the Wizards or Spurs. Easy buckets at the rim were plentiful as both opponents enjoyed the absence of Myles Turner lingering around the rim.
