If you want to go to Madison Square Garden on Monday night to watch Game 1 between the Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks, you’ll have to spend an awful lot of money.
As of right now, the cheapest ticket for the Pacers-Knicks game is hovering around $400. Most of the available tickets in the lower bowl at MSG are a little over $800.
While it’s cool to see how passionate New York fans are about their beloved Knicks, seeing some of these ticket prices are just absurd.
“For $882 I can go to MSG and sit in the lower bowl corner section for one of the Knicks vs Pacers games,” one person wrote on X. “For $866 I can take a flight from NYC to Indiana, sleep in at the Marriott hotel Saturday night, go to the game and sit in the same section in Indiana and fly back to NYC.”
In the event the Knicks make the Eastern Conference finals, the cheapest ticket for that series will probably be over $500. It could be even more expensive if they run into the Celtics.
For now, the focus is on the Pacers. On paper, the Knicks have more than enough firepower and grit to advance to defend home court.
Tipoff for Game 1 between the Pacers and Knicks is at 7:30 p.m. ET.
