This Friday night’s episode of “SmackDown” was held at Madison Square Garden, so it was only fitting that New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson made a guest appearance.
It all started with WWE superstar Logan Paul entering the arena with Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton by his side. Obviously, he wanted to ruffle some feathers in the crowd.
Before Paul fought LA Knight in a Money in the Bank qualifying match, Haliburton and Brunson engaged in an epic staredown.
Things took a turn when Haliburton tried to help Paul cheat by using brass knuckles. Brunson hopped over the barricade and grabbed a steel chair to even the odds.
Brunson didn’t end up using the chair as a weapon, but he did get the crowd at MSG on their feet for this wild moment.
Fans immediately started chanting “MVP” once Brunson entered the ring. It’s pretty clear that New York will ride for him any day of the week.

Some fans were worried that Brunson hurt his previously injured hand, but thankfully, he eased those concerns.
“Just lived out a childhood dream and yes the hand fine lol yall can relax,” Brunson wrote on X.
We’re not sure when we’ll see Brunson back in a WWE ring. What we do know, however, is that he’s got enough talent around him on the Knicks to win a title next season.
