Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga Prep four-star Chuck Harris is off the board. Harris committed to Butler this afternoon.
The No. 13 point guard and the No. 94 overall recruit in the 2020 class according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings, Harris chose the Bulldogs over George Washington, Penn State, Providence, VCU and others. Butler offered him back in late March.
He is the first commitment for LaVall Jordan in the 2020 class.
Longtime Northeast talent evaluator Norm Eavenson says Harris has a “mature feel for the game” and is a “solid all-around contributor.”
With Harris in the fold, Butler currently has the 11th-best recruiting class in the 2020 cycle. The Bulldogs ranked 68th in 2019, per 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.
