Colt Langdon, a four-star small forward, has committed to Butler and reclassified to 2024, he announced Wednesday.
The 6-foot-7 Team United AAU product chose the Bulldogs over LSU and Notre Dame.
“Me and coach [Alex] Barlow have a great relationship,” he previously told ZAGSBLOG. “He’s been recruiting me for a while. Coach [Thad] Matta is a legendary coach and they love shooting a lot of threes, getting up and down, playing defense. And the Big East has great competition and is a great conference.”
Langdon is the second commit in Butler’s class of 2024, joining three-star Evan Haywood. He is the program’s fourth four-star recruit of all time.
Coming out of Millbrook high school (NC.), he is the school’s all-time leading scorer. He describes himself as a versatile player and three-level scorer.
“I can score from all over the court,” he said. “Pass the ball, shoot the ball, do a little bit of everything. And then guard multiple positions on defense. I feel like I can play multiple positions and fit into most systems. I’m simply going to do whatever it takes to win basketball games, no matter if it’s being a great teammate, scoring the ball, facilitating. Whatever it is that needs to be done to get the win I’m going to do it.”
Langdon is ranked the No. 137 player (formally) in the 2025 class per 247Sports and the No. 7 player in the state of North Carolina. His favorite NBA player is Luka Doncic and his No. 1 hobby outside of basketball is going fishing.
