The Butler college basketball mascot is a bit banged up right now.
Butler Blue IV, who is the mascot seen at the school’s basketball games, tweeted that he has a CCL tear (torn ACL), which will sideline him for the next few weeks.

He then confirmed that he was set to have surgery on Wednesday.
“Don’t worry, I am not in much pain and am scheduled for surgery tomorrow. I’ll be sure to post a lot of updates. Appreciate any good vibes you can send my way,” he tweeted.

Hopefully, Blue IV can get back before the Butler basketball season starts on Nov. 6 against Eastern Michigan. Not having him there would be strange to a lot of the fans.
Here’s to a speedy recovery for this legendary mascot.
