“I thoroughly appreciate being a Celtic and love the people I get to work with every day,” Stevens said.
Stevens’ name has come up every time the job has opened including the past two cycles that resulted in the hirings of Archie Miller and Mike Woodson. With the job set to open this offseason after Mike Woodson’s departure, Stevens’ name came up again in rumors and on hot boards as it always does.
It was always going to be the longest of shots to land Stevens, the Indiana native and former Butler coach who has now publicly denied that he’s a candidate for the job multiple times.
Indiana’s search for its next men’s basketball coach continues.
