Gameday staple Lee Corso coached the Hoosiers from 1973-1982.
If you thought Bloomington was packed for Homecoming against Nebraska, it’s getting even bigger next weekend.
ESPN’s College Gameday is making the trip for Indiana’s game against Washington this Saturday, according to their official Twitter:
Bloomington, here we come‼️

It’s been hinted multiple times that this was in the works for the program. When Curt Cignetti appeared on the Pat McAfree show this past week, McAfee noted that the Gameday crew had eyes on Bloomington as a destination.
But this’ll mean just a bit more if Lee Corso is able to attend. Corso coached the Hoosiers from 1973-1982. Indiana had two winning seasons under Corso’s watch and knocked off previously undefeated BYU in the 1979 Holiday Bowl.
Overall, it’s just another sign of how far the program has come in just one year under Curt Cignetti. It’s a pretty big deal to draw ESPN’s gaze like this, and Indiana will look to make it count like they did this past weekend when Big Noon Kickoff was in town.
