The famed broadcaster an attendee of Indiana University, used a moment during Monday’s broadcast to poke fun at his ESPN partner.
The big event of Monday’s broadcast was the Atlanta Falcons’ improbable 22-21 comeback win on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles (shout-out to our friends over at The Falcoholic), but ESPN’’s Monday Night Football broadcast duo of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman took a second to look back on this past college football Saturday.
The backstory here: Aikman, obviously, played quarterback at UCLA. Less well known is that Buck attended college at IU, but went right from classes into a broadcasting career. He may not have graduated, but it’s safe to say things have worked out for him and he’s vocal about his Hoosier pride when the opportunity arises.
Which Aikman provided, alluding to the Hoosiers’ dominant 42-13 win over his Bruins in the Rose Bowl.
With Aikman wondering aloud whether Buck would take the time to poke fun at the matchup, the latter responded by singing a section of the fight song before the briefest of discussions on head coach Curt Cignetti:

It’s not the first time Indiana has come up on a broadcast between the two, with Aikman using the opportunities for light-hearted jokes at his friend’s expense. This time, Buck got to return the favor.
