Indiana’s student section let its thoughts be heard on the Hoosiers’ head coach.
There have been boos in Assembly Hall before now. There’s even been a few voices letting out that chant.
But it hasn’t been like this in a long, long time.
Indiana’s 94-69 loss to Illinois was a lot of things. The embarrassment for the program looms largest of them on account of the score, on court product, on court extracurriculars and even in the crowd.
This is not a good look.

Mike Woodson has been booed before, lightly, during the pregame introductions. The team has been booed for poor efforts against opponents. This chant is the first of its kind in years for the program. In this building, at least.
When the fans let out that chant, and they usually take their time believe it or not, they typically get their wish. It happened at the 2021 Big Ten Tournament during the lone Indiana game the public was allowed to attend that season in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
