The former Hoosier will join last year’s WNBA runners up.
Grace Berger didn’t have to wait too long to find a landing spot in the WNBA.
The former Hoosiers star, waived this week by the Indiana Fever, which selected her in the first round of the 2023 WNBA Draft, was claimed off of waivers by the Minnesota Lynx.

The move opens up the possibility of Berger getting more minutes and continuing to develop. She was potentially in line for a larger role with the Fever this past season until the franchise earned the No. 1 overall pick in last season’s draft and used it on Caitlin Clark.
Berger starred for the Hoosiers as one of the best and most accomplished players in program history, earning First Team All-Big Ten nods in four consecutive seasons. She played a minor role for the Fever as a rookie before seeing her minutes dwindle this past season.
Berger is currently playing overseas with OGM Ormanspor, a member of the Turkish Super League.
