The Hoosiers’ head coach addressed the fanbase during the men’s basketball game against Maryland.
Over a year later, Curt Cignetti was back in Assembly Hall with a microphone in hand.
Most of the fans rose to their feet to deliver an ovation for the coach, who was accompanied by his players. Just about everyone reached for their phones too. Almost reflexively. Cignetti with a microphone? Something interesting is bound to happen.
This time was a bit more mundane. Cignetti spent some time looking back on the successes of the historic 2024 season that featured a program-first mark of eleven wins and the Hoosiers’ first appearance in the College Football Playoff.
“Look, there’s no doubt we accomplished a lot of firsts but I want everyone to be clear,” Cignetti said.
“We are not satisfied.”
