It Begins
Well, we’ve made it.
Tonight is the eve of the new era of Indiana football, with Curt Cignetti at the helm. Tomorrow afternoon the Hoosiers take on Florida International in Bloomington and by the end of the day, should be 1/6 of the way to Bowl eligibility.
Indiana opens as three touchdown favorites, a strong vote of confidence in a team with a new coach with at least 30+ new players. Especially since Cignetti has gone so far as to not name a starting quarterback yet.
This ‘quarterback battle’ is a little different than a Tom Allen quarterback battle though, and it sounds like everyone from Bloomington to Vegas expects reigning MAC Offensive Player of the Year, Kurtis Rourke, to make light work of Panthers defense.
Here’s what you need to know about the matchup:
When is the game and how can I watch?

Location: Memorial Stadium. Bloomington, Indiana.

Game Notes
Indiana might not look like a finished product given the high turnover and new schemes on both sides of the ball. That said, Cignetti and company are likely looking to make a statement and start the new era off with a comfortable win.
Florida International was not very good last year but they did beat UConn. After losing some key players to graduation and the portal, they may not be as strong. Still, upsets happen, Indiana will have to show up to cover the spread here.
