Trying to stay perfect
Halfway to bowl eligibility already, Indiana has one final tuneup game before the Big Ten season is fully underway. The Charlotte 49ers come to town at 1-2 with losses to James Madison and North Carolina.
The 49ers lone win came by a point against an 0-3 Gardner-Webb squad, making the red hot Hoosiers 28.5 favorites in this week four matchup. ESPN analytics gives Indiana a 97.7% chance of victory.

Game Notes
Indiana should mostly look to stay hot and stay healthy here against a team that’s struggled so far this season. If everything goes according to plan, we should see some bench guys get some snaps again. Curt Cignetti is clearly not a coach who will be happy with a narrow win here, so look for disciplined play on both sides of the ball and limited mistakes in key moments.
Charlotte was having troubles on offense before they came to Bloomington and losing quarterback Max Brown to injury against North Carolina will not make things easier. Deshawn Purdie came in and played decent backup against the Heels, but got pulled after struggling against Gardner-Webb and throwing a pick.
