How to watch the Hoosiers take on the Bruins.
Indiana football is set to take on UCLA on Big Ten Saturday Night this weekend.
It’s the Hoosiers’ first power five opponent of the Curt Cignetti era and comes after convincing (to put it mildly in the latter case) victories over FIU and Western Illinois. Indiana needs to prove it can keep its momentum against tougher competition.
UCLA is an interesting one in that the Bruins also have a new head coach, though under different circumstances. Chip Kelly took the offensive coordinator job at Ohio State, leaving UCLA to promote running backs coach DeShaun Foster to the head coaching gig.
It’s his first game against a power five opponent… ever. So things could get interesting.
When is the game and how can I watch
Game Time/Date: Saturday, September 14 at 7:30 p.m. ET
Location: Rose Bowl, Pasadena, California.
TV: NBC
Radio: WHCC 105.1 / WIUX 99.1
Game notes
Indiana is 2-0 following wins over lesser opponents. The Hoosiers’ Kurtis Rourke-led passing attack has looked crisp through two games as he gains footing in a new offense while the rotation in the backfield has shown incredible promise. The defense sagged late in the first half in both games, but overall held up well with a new group and coordinator.
UCLA stands at 1-0 after a narrow 16-13 road win over Hawaii. The Bruins were highly dependent on quarterback Ethan Garbers, who led the way in passing and rushing yards, but also threw 2 interceptions to help keep the Rainbow Warriors in the game.
