This will count as a home game for the Nittany Lions and marks the second straight season that Penn State has hosted Big Ten games at the historic venue. Last season on January 7th, Penn State rallied to beat a spiraling Michigan team 79-73.
According to Bart Torvik’s “Funalytics” projections for 2024-25 season, the Nittany Lions should start the season around 74th while Indiana currently holds the 30th spot.
This won’t be Indiana’s first Big Ten game of the year, but moving this one to Palestra is a good way to give an early season matchup a little more juice. With Indiana’s struggles at the Bryce Jordan center lately, I’ll happily take any reason to not play there.
While TV details haven’t been announced yet, look for this one to be national in a primetime slot.
