The home state hero gets another shot at the next level.
Former Indiana men’s basketball guard Romeo Langford will join the Philadelphia 76ers in Las Vegas for NBA Summer League play, according to an official press release.
Langford most recently played for the Salt Lake City Stars in the NBA’s G-League, averaging 11.9 points, 1.9 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game during the 2023-24 season. He was originally drafted by the Boston Celtics with the 14th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft before being traded to the San Antonio Spurs in 2022, joining the Utah Jazz as a free agent in 2023.
He joined Indiana out of New Albany High School as a five-star recruit, one of the most highly touted prospects in the class of 2018. He led the Hoosiers in scoring with 16.5 points per game, which ranked fifth nationally among all freshmen. His Indiana career ended following a loss in the 2019 Big Ten Tournament.
