The Hoosiers are hosting four prospects, per reports.
Indiana men’s basketball is set for what could end up being a huge weekend for the program.
The Hoosiers are set to host four prospects from the transfer portal for official visits in Bloomington:
- C Oumar Ballo (Arizona)
- G Myles Rice (Washington State)
- G Connor Hickman (Bradley)
- F Pharrel Payne (Minnesota)
Ballo, who faced off against Indiana in 2022 with Arizona, is 247Sports’ No. 1 overall prospect in the portal and the lone player rated as a five-star. Rice is a rising redshirt sophomore who helped lead Washington State to the NCAA Tournament. Hickman is from town, having played at Bloomington High School South. Pharrel is from Minnesota, so Indiana has seen him up close.
As of Friday afternoon, Indiana has received a crystal balls to land Ballo and Rice from Travis Branham of 247Sports.
Landing even some of these prospects would go a long way toward improving Indiana’s outlook in 2024-25, especially since the Hoosiers will retain pieces like Trey Galloway, Mackenzie Mgbako and Malik Reneau.
