Caffey, a 5-10 guard out of Warrenton, Missouri, is in the midst of her senior season at Incarnate Word Academy in suburban St. Louis. A ridiculous 101-0 as a high school player, Caffey has three Missouri state titles and a Class 6 Player of the Year award to her name.
Makalusky, a 6-3 wing from Fishers, is finishing up her high school career at Hamilton Southeastern. The state’s top overall recruit was recently named Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame Classic tournament MVP after dropping an event-high 35 points in the semifinals. The Royals went on to win the tournament and are 18-0 on the season.
Both Caffey and Makalusky formally signed with Indiana in November. They’ll learn their McDonald’s All-American fates when ESPN releases the event’s final rosters later this month.
