The sophomore guard will take a medical redshirt for the 2024-25 season.
Indiana women’s basketball sophomore guard Lenée Beaumont will miss the remainder of the 2024-25 season after undergoing knee surgery, the program announced earlier today.

Beaumont, a 6-1 sophomore from Lisle, Illinois, made 30 appearances for Indiana a season ago, averaging 9.6 minutes and 3.0 points per game off the bench.
Beaumont looked great in training camp and her potential for a breakout sophomore campaign was the talk of team Media Day back in September. Unfortunately, a preseason knee injury prevented her from seeing any action through Indiana’s first eleven games.
Surgery on said knee will delay her sophomore campaign to 2025-26.
Beaumont is the second Hoosier to be shut down for the year due to surgery; freshman forward Sydney Fenn is also redshirting the season due to a knee procedure she underwent before arriving in Bloomington.
If healthy, Beaumont would’ve been a legitimate role player for Indiana this season. The story of the season thus far has been other guards stepping up due to injury, and that’s great to see, but Beaumont’s ability to score would ease the burden weighing on the current backcourt. She’s a fun player to watch, too.
We wish Beaumont the best of luck in her recovery and can’t wait to see her on the floor in 2025-26.
