The former Hoosiers star will play in the event featuring young, emerging NBA talent.
Former Indiana men’s basketball star Trayce Jackson-Davis was named to the 2025 NBA Rising Stars roster pool on Tuesday.
The pool consists of players in their first or second year of NBA play. This mark’s Jackson-Davis’ first appearance after missing the cut last year as a rookie. Former Hoosier Kel’el Ware, a rookie for the Miami Heat, missed the cut despite his recent emergence as a starter.
NBA assistant coaches will draft three teams from the available pool while a fourth team will consist of players from the NBA’s G League. From there, the four teams will participate in a tournament with the eventual winner playing in the 2025 NBA All-Star Game tournament.
Jackson-Davis is averaging 8.2 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 20 minutes per game this season for Golden State. He was selected by the organization with the 57th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
