Mike Woodson will return to Indiana for a fourth season after finishing the 2024-2025 campaign 16-13. The Indianapolis Star broke the news Wednesday.
Woodson has long been on the hot seat around fans and the media as his Hoosiers have not made it out of the first weekend in the NCAA Tournament since he took over.
Indiana has gone 60-39 overall during Woodson’s tenure.
He has done well recruiting, but depth has been an issue, including 2024, with just five-star Liam McNeeley set to grow the program. Woodson has succeeded with transfers Kel’el Ware, Xavier Johnson, and Miller Kopp, among others.
The 65-year-old Woodson holds a $12 million buyout, leading fans to speculate about his retention. The storied program hasn’t reached the Sweet 16 since 2016.
The Hoosiers take on Minnesota Wednesday night as they make a push for the NIT.
