The Hoosiers’ reload continued on Christmas Eve with the reported addition of a new wideout.
Indiana’s ongoing offseason transfer portal reload continued on Christmas Eve with the reported addition of former Appalachian State wide receiver Makai Jackson, per Chris Hummer and Matt Zenitz of On3.
App State WR transfer Makai Jackson is expected to transfer to Indiana, @mzenitz and I have learned for @247Sports.
Jackson caught 46 passes 745 yards and 5 TDs this year. Has over 2,000 yards combined the last three seasons. https://t.co/ZiNP3vhb8M pic.twitter.com/DPMwAOSCjA

Jackson is entering his senior year and is coming off of a season in which he hauled in 46 receptions for 745 yards and five touchdowns. He’s been a factor in the Mountaineers’ passing game since his freshman season, when he broke out for 991 yards and eight touchdowns.
Indiana is looking to reload at the wide receiver spot, to a degree. Talents like Omar Cooper, Elijan Sarratt and E.J. Williams are returning to the program but Ke’Shawn Williams, Myles Price and Miles Cross are all departing.
The slot receiver spot is open in Indiana’s offense and Jackson will have a shot at filling it. Indiana could add some more talent at the position, but Jackson has the proven production to be a good option.
