The Hoosiers rebuild their running backs room.
Indiana’s ongoing rebuild of its backfield continued on Monday with the reported signing of Maryland transfer running back Roman Hemby, per Pete Nakos and On3:

Hemby has spent the previous four seasons with the Terrapins with an incredibly strong 2022 season that saw him total 989 rushing yards with ten touchdowns on 5.3 yards per carry. His averages and carries have declined in the previous two seasons, but it’s a fair bet that Indiana could help him return to form or maximize his impact on the field.
He’s not just a runner either. Hemby has been a reliable target in the passing game, hauling in 40 receptions for 273 yards through the air this past season.
The Hoosiers needed to reload at running back this offseason with both Justice Ellison and Ty Son Lawton exhausting their eligibility. Adding Hemby and UAB transfer Lee Beebe is an excellent answer to that problem.
