Woodson is in the middle of his fourth season leading the program. Indiana is 14-9 overall, 5-7 in the Big Ten and in the middle of a four-game losing streak as of Thursday.
Indiana hired Woodson to replace Archie Miller in 2021. Woodson, a legendary former player, was brought on to deliver a more modern, NBA-like style of play while meeting the moment of the new landscape of college basketball.
Among his first moves was convincing Trayce Jackson-Davis to remain in Bloomington. Jackson-Davis would go on to record one one the greatest individual careers in program history as a junior and senior.
Woodson’s teams made the NCAA Tournament during his first two seasons in Bloomington, but never advanced past the second round. Indiana missed the 2024 NCAA Tournament and its prospects for a March Madness berth this year appear bleak.
Indiana is set to take on Michigan on Saturday at Assembly Hall.
