The talented shooter will have his pick between the Hoosiers and Wildcats.
Months before the rivalry series is set to resume, Indiana and Kentucky’s men’s basketball programs already find themselves squaring off.
Lamar Wilkerson, one of the top transfer guards available in the transfer portal, will decide between the Hoosiers and Wildcats after having taken visits to Bloomington and Lexington this past weekend, per reporting from KSR:

Wilkerson was originally set to visit Auburn this week, but that’s now off the table. He averaged 20.5 points, 4 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 44.5% from long range this past season. He’ll have one year of eligibility remaining.
Indiana is still looking to build out a roster in Darian DeVries’ first year in charge of the program while Kentucky looks to take a leap after a Sweet Sixteen appearance in year one under new head coach Mark Pope.
With Indiana, Wilkerson’s path to starting minutes and a starring role with the ball in his hands is clear. With Kentucky, he’d be surrounded by other talent in Pope’s push for more after a good first year with the Wildcats.
