The Hoosiers are in the mix for the Troy transfer.
Indiana men’s basketball has landed a commitment from Troy transfer guard and 2025 Sun Belt Player of the Year Tayton Conerway, according to Sam Kayser of League Ready:
NEWS: Troy transfer guard Tayton Conerway has committed to Indiana, a source confirmed to @LeagueRDY.
Conerway is a 6-foot-3 guard who began his career playing 3 seasons at the JUCO level before playing the last two seasons at Troy.

Conerway averaged 14.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.8 assists while shooting 47.1% from the field and 27% from long range for the Trojans in 30.3 minutes per game with an assist rate of 36.8. His career began at the junior college level with Ranger College in Ranger, Texas.
It’s hard to see Conerway as anything but Indiana’s presumptive starting point guard unless Darian DeVries is going for a lineup that features two distributors in the backcourt. He’s an ideal distributor and could flourish with shooting options around him like Tucker DeVries given his own less-than-ideal numbers from long range.
He’d be an immediate fit in DeVries’ defense that emphasizes pressure and physicality, being the tip of the spear on that end of the court. He uses his size to force turnovers and is effective in coverage against opposing lead guards.
Another win for Darian DeVries and company.
