Blake Wesley, the 6-foot-4 guard from Riley (IN) and Indy Heat Gym Rats AAU, committed and signed with Notre Dame on Friday.
Wesley also considered Creighton, Kansas State, Maryland, Purdue, and Xavier.
A consensus four-star recruit, Wesley is ranked 96th nationally by Rivals and 113th by 247Sports. An honorable mention all-state selection as a junior in 2019-20, Wesley led all local area players with a 26.0 points-per-game average last season.
“We have been watching Blake work on his game since middle school and he has developed himself into a complete guard who has great length with court vision – and is a big-time defender,” head coach Mike Brey said.
“He has a natural ability to score the basketball. To welcome in another local basketball talent is exciting not only to our program, but the South Bend area.”
Wesley joins South Bend St. Joseph guard J.R. Konieczny, who signed with the Irish a week ago, to make up the 2020-21 recruiting class for Notre Dame.
Notre Dame (@NDmbb) just landed a commitment from local South Bend & @indyheatgymrats Blake Wesley (@blakewesley0).
Multi-positional on perimeter with size, length, lot of potential defensive value, & willingness to play the right way.
