Here are some fun pics
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are advancing to the National Championship game of the College Football Playoff after taking down the Penn State Nittany Lions in the Orange Bowl.
The 27-24 victory by the Irish is one of the greatest wins in Notre Dame football history. After going down 10-0 to PSU in the first half, Notre Dame fought their way to a 17-10 lead — which lead to a fourth quarter offensive explosion by both teams.
The ending, however, is what really makes this game magical. Penn State didn’t have to do much of anything and we would have been heading to overtime. Instead, Drew Allar throws a pass back over the middle of the field and Christian Gray picked it off to help set up the offense to get just enough to bring Mitch Jeter out to try and win the game with a field goal.
And isn’t it fitting? Mitch Jeter, the man that we will always see as the guy who had the kick blocked against NIU, is now the guy we will always see as MR. CLUTCH with his field goal to win the game for the Irish.
There were thousands of pics to choose from (literally) and I didn’t want to take up too much of my morning, so here is a nice sample of all of the fun.
