Predict the path to glory
We’re a month away from the beginning of the college football season, so it’s time to really start laying down predictions and prophecy for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Golden Domers are probably going to be the favorite in 11 of their 12 games, and while we could just take the easy route to predict a final record — what fun is that?
No season is alike, and even though a win is a win is a win, the journey can take some strange turns here and there. In that spirit, let’s be a little more specific with predicting Notre Dame’s 12 game journey. A “choose your own adventure” I guess…
August 31 @ Texas A&M Aggies
Season opener and on the road against a Mike Elko coached team.
September 7 VS Northern Illinois Huskies
The home opener is serving MAC dog.
September 14 @ Purdue Boilermakers
An in-state road trip to play a team that hasn’t beat the Irish since 2007 (when anyone could). Did you know that from 1954-1969, the Irish were just 5-11 against Purdue? Gross.
September 21 VS Miami of Ohio RedHawks
Chuck Martin makes his glorious return to Notre Dame Stadium.
September 28 VS Louisville Cardinals
Time for a little revenge LIVE ON PEACOCK! The series is 2-2 all-time with a combined score of 95-89 (Irish).
October 12 VS Stanford Cardinal
Here comes another ACC opponent…
October 19 @ Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
Mercedes Benz Stadium opens its loving arms for the Irish in this GT home game.
October 26 @ Navy Midshipmen
OOOOOOHHHHHHH MetlIfe Stadium! (Said no one ever — PLAY IN ANNAPOLIS AMERICA).
November 9 VS Florida State Seminoles
The Irish are on a 3 game winning streak against the Noles, but need this one to even the series at 6 wins a piece.
November 16 VS Virginia Cavaliers
It’s senior day and the Irish have won 7 straight in its final regular season home game.
November 23 VS Army Black Knights
A trip to Yankee Stadium with fresh new uniforms in a Shamrock Series matchup.
November 30 @ USC Trojans
Since 2012, Notre Dame has lost to Southern Cal three times — all in Los Angeles.
