Win and advance
The time is NOW for Notre Dame as they take on the Georgia Bulldogs in the Sugar Bowl for the right to move on to the semifinals of the College Football Playoff. The weight of history has always been an issue in South Bend as expectations are high every year (rightly or wrongly) but history is heaviest today. The Irish have a chance to finally exorcise many of the demons surrounding the program over the last 30 years.
The horrific tragedy of the terrorist attack has cast an uneasy shadow on this game, and with the day and time change, a lot of Irish fans may not be able to watch the game. That frustration isn’t even a fraction of the devastation this attack has brought upon the families of those who were killed or injured — so please keep that in mind.
The time is now — let’s get to work.
