College football coaching legend and analyst Lou Holtz announced this week that he is starting a new podcast. But judging by some of the responses, the crowd is going mild rather than wild.
Yesterday Holtz announced the launch of his official podcast: The Lou Holtz Show. Holtz has said that he plans on using the platform to highlight people who have had a big part in the culture of the United States through sports.
“Today, I am announcing the launch of my podcast, The Lou Holtz Show. There is no one more passionate about restoring the culture of this country than me,” Holtz wrote.
But if Holtz was looking forward to tons and tons of supporters expressing excitement to hear him give his thoughts and talk to people, he’s not finding a lot of it on X. While some seem interested, a lot of people are saying that it sounds miserable, with a few declaring that it sounds like it would be actual torture:
“idk, not gonna be much of a show with only 14 words in it,” one user bluntly wrote.
“No offense, but I’d rather listen to my family get tortured,” wrote another.
“Top 5 podcast I would hate to listen to, this show could be used as a torture device,” a third replied.
Holtz definitely won’t have many fans tuning in from the Columbus metro area. He basically burned any bridge with Ohio State fans with comments he made about the Buckeyes and head coach Ryan Day before the Ohio State-Notre Dame game this past season.
Will you be tuning in?
