It’s a massive day for Micah Shrewsberry and the Notre Dame basketball program.
On Wednesday, the Fighting Irish landed the highest-rated recruit in their school’s history with the arrival of five-star forward Jalen Haralson.
Per ESPN’s Jeff Borzello: “NEWS: Top-10 senior Jalen Haralson has committed to Notre Dame over Indiana & Michigan State — becoming the program’s highest-ranked recruit in the modern era. ‘Notre Dame is the best option for me,’ he told @PaulBiancardi. ‘I trust coach Shrewsberry and his staff with my game.'”

Haralson opened up about his commitment to 247Sports. Telling the outlet that he chose ND over Michigan State and Indiana.
“Me and my family had a really tough decision because we had three great schools but ultimately, I feel like staying home was the best option and going up to South Bend and Notre Dame,” Haralson said.
“Even when I was down with injury, he was there for me and was the most involved coach,” the Class of 2025 wing continued. “He was there for me. He saw the vision. He was here, he was at almost all of my games and he was at La Lumiere a lot. I felt wanted by him and I feel like he trusts my game so i’m just excited to get there and show off my talents in the ACC.”
Haralson is regarded as something of a point forward with strong defensive versatility and a really good feel for the game.
He should be a great get for Coach Shrews and the Irish staff.
