ALL THE SACKS
Notre Dame administered a slow rolling death to the Florida State Seminoles on Saturday night with a 52-3 win. While it wasn’t the flashiest of games, it was still a dominating performance by the Irish.
Notre Dame stormed down the field on the first drive of the game going 75 yards on 5 plays to hit paydirt. The shovel? Riley Leonard with a gorgeous 34 yard run that ended with him doing his best Superman impersonation over the goaline.

Florida State was feisty on their first possession of the game. The Noles continuously grinded out yards on the ground, and they converted on two 4th down attempts — all for which lead to a field goal to make it 7-3, Irish.
After some punt exchange, Jadarian Price put together a nifty 65 yard run with some stellar footwork near the goaline to fall into the end zone for a touchdown. The play was originally called out at the 4 yard line, but after the play was reviewed the call was reversed for the score and a 14-3 lead.

Any hopes FSU actually had to get back into the game probably died on the field thanks to Rylie Mills. The senior defensive tackle had two massive sacks in a row to set the tone and help forced the Noles to punt the ball away.
The Irish scored one final time in the first half with a 12 yard score from Riley Leonard to Mitchell Evans.
It was more Notre Dame in the second half. Jordan Clark intercepted Brock Glenn, and a few plays later, Riley Leonard ran it in for a score.
The Irish defense was relentless and held FSU to under 100 yards passing on the day. Mills had three sacks on the night and Donovan Hinish had two sacks to help the Irish get to eight sacks total for the game.
Mitch Jeter added a field goal, and in the 4th quarter, Jeremiyah Love found the end zone to make it 38-3. Love has scored a touchdown in every game this season.
As the backups started coming in, Steve Angeli hit one walk-on player after another before finally finding Deion Colzie in the corner of the end zone for a touchdown to make the game 45-3.

In the final minutes with Florida State threatening to score, Luke Talich intercepted a pass and took it 79 yards to the house for the 50 burger.

A solid 52-3 win for Notre Dame against a very inferior opponent that looked like a team that is ready for all of this to be over.
More to come on OFD.
