Line got bigger
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish dominated the Indiana Hoosiers in the first round of the College Football Playoff, and have earned the right to advance to the quarterfinal game in the Sugar Bowl against the Georgia Bulldogs — the SEC Champions.
Georgia is the #2 seed in the playoff, but they did suffer two double-digit losses in conference play this season. The Bulldogs also have some uncertainty at the quarterback position as Carson Beck is likely to NOT play, and junior Gunner Stockton is expected to play in his place (due to injury).
It makes for a game that could be very interesting for both teams.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Notre Dame is currently a 2.5 point underdog to Georgia with an over/under of 44.5.
The line right after Notre Dame’s win over Indiana had the Irish as +1.5, so we’ve already seen some movement early in the week for the January 1 game.
