Disappointing
On Wednesday, On3’s Talia Goodman was the first to report that Notre Dame senior forward, Kylee Watson, will enter the transfer portal.
BREAKING: Notre Dame’s Kylee Watson has entered the transfer portal, sources told @On3sports.
The 6-4 senior averaged 6.2 ppg and 5 rpg in 2023-24.

Watson transferred to Notre Dame in 2022 after two seasons with the Oregon Ducks. Watson averaged about 6.5 points a game for the Irish during two seasons of play, but was sidelined with an injury for the entirety of the 2024-2025 campaign.
Watson enters the portal with a “do not contact” tag, which likely means she already knows exactly where she will use her final year of eligibility.
This has been a turbulent week for the Notre Dame women’s basketball program. After suffering another loss in the Sweet 16, the Irish have now seen four players enter the transfer portal (Olivia Miles, Kate Koval, Emma Risch, and now Kylee Watson).
Next year’s Notre Dame squad is going to look a lot different than this past season (and maybe more different than we thought). Niele Ivey is going to have to hit the transfer portal hard to help bolster next season’s roster to compete in the ACC and nationally.
Safe to say Notre Dame will look entirely different next season
