Notre Dame recently reupped its partnership with NBC through the 2029 football season.
In addition to all Fighting Irish home games being broadcast on the network like they have been since 1991, NBC is also planning on giving the program its own Hard Knocks-style documentary beginning in 2024.
The project will follow Notre Dame football throughout the season, though we’ll have to see if it incorporates chunks of preseason content like the popular NFL HBO series.
Notre Dame AD Jack Swarbrick says the Irish will produce a season-long documentary — “their own version of Hard Knocks” — over the coming years and have their own tile/channel on Peacock.

At the time of the announcement last month, Notre Dame AD Jack Swarbrick told Sports Illustrated‘s Pat Forde that the extension with NBC “very much” reinforces the football program’s desire to remain independent.
“There are elements that reinforce the value of being independent and having our own broadcast partner. It was certainly our preference to stay with NBC,” Swarbrick said.
For the last several years, Notre Dame has also had one home game for season broadcast exclusively on Peacock, NBC’s streaming service.
The Fighting Irish finished this season with a 9-3 record and will meet Oregon State in the Sun Bowl on Friday, Dec. 29.
