Here we go
The final college football playoff rankings were just released, and with it, we finally have a college football playoff bracket set in stone. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish were ranked #5 in the CFP rankings, which earned them a #7 seed. The Irish will now face the #10 seed Indiana Hoosiers in South Bend in the first round.
The Penn State Nittany Lions — forever living a blessed life for reasons passing all human understanding, did not drop below the Irish after their loss in the Big 10 Championship game. The Georgia Bulldogs earned its #2 spot by taking down the Texas Longhorns in overtime in the SEC Championship game… which gives us this “thing” of a bracket.
To the committee’s credit, they did not punish the SMU Mustangs for allowing Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers to sneak into the playoff, which means that the Alabama Crimson Tide are OUT.
Notre Dame will face Indiana on Friday, December 20 at 8:00 PM.
I will have many more words on this coming soon.
