Run it back
The Notre Dame women’s basketball team climbed to the #1 ranking in the country late in the season, but back-to-back losses to NC State and Florida State not only dropped the Irish nationally, it knocked them out of the #1 seed for the ACC Tournament. The Irish shared the regular season title with NC State, but the head-to-head comparison gave the #1 seed to the Wolfpack.
As if it really matters that much.
Notre Dame still gets the #2 seed and a chance to defend its ACC Championship from last season.
