So this is November
When Notre Dame football fans sit around their immaculate backyard fire pits in July, they often talk about the Irish schedule. This year, there was a lot of focus on the Florida State Seminoles and getting them up to South Bend in November. That focus was twofold… FSU will likely be the toughest game of the year, and that we can’t wait to get them at night in November for what surely will be a cold weather game.
We were immaculately wrong about everything (which is true for a lot of July takes).
If you’re going to the game, the tailgating vibes will be about as good as they get in November. There will be a high of 57 and a lot of clouds… which is fantastic booze weather.
As far as the game is concerned, the temperatures won’t drop very much as the sun goes down, and it will be in the low 50’s for most of the game — although a fair amount of wind will give the air just enough crispness to remind the Noles that they’re above the 36th parallel.
