Wee bit of a change
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish return home this week to host the MAC’s Northern Illinois Huskies after a gigantic win on the road over the Texas A&M Aggies. On Monday, the Irish released a new set of depth charts — which had only a few slight changes.
OFFENSE
The main injury coming out of Saturday night is an ankle injury to wide receiver, Jordan Faison. While a quick return is expected, he will be OUT for Saturday. In his place on offense will be KK Smith. Kris Mitchell shared an “OR” with Faison last week, but the “OR” is no more.
DEFENSE
No changes to the defensive side of the ball this week. It should be pointed out that the Irish rotated in a lot of players against the Aggies. To be honest, I didn’t expect that much playing time for Donovan Hinish — but the Hinish legacy lives on strong. Max Bullough was true to his word as far as using five linebackers was concerned.
SPECIAL TEAMS
The Faison injury affects special teams as well. Jaden Greathouse is the main returner, but I’m crazy enough to want to see Max Hurleman return a couple.
