A couple more are OUT this week
Notre Dame heads out west to Los Angeles for the regular season finale. The Irish have EVERYTHING in front of them with a home playoff game on the line, while rival’ Southern Cal is just itching to play spoiler to Notre Dame.
Injuries have played a big part of the Notre Dame football season, and while the injuries probably weren’t the reason the Irish dropped its one game of the year to Northern Illinois — it’s actually quite incredible how well they have done with the “next man in” all season.
Marcus Freeman announced a few more injuries this week that will affect the depth charts:
- LB Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa — Sprained Ankle OUT
- WR KK Smith — Broken Collarbone OUT
- LB Bodie Kahoun — Leg OUT
- DT Howard Cross — QUESTIONABLE
OFFENSE
Notre Dame will work with the same lineup as they have for the past two weeks. The Smith injury won’t affect much as he was’t involved with the rotation at WR.
DEFENSE
Even if Howard Cross doesn’t play this week, Donovan Hinish has been playing well and has helped anchor the middle of the Irish defensive line. With KVA out we may see more of Preston Zinter — or more of others.
SPECIAL TEAMS
Notre Dame ranks dead last in field goal percentage this season. 134 out of 134 — let that sink in for a moment.
