This is a good hire
According to Matt Freeman from Irish Sport’s Daily, Notre Dame is expected to hire Ja’Juan Seider away from the Penn State Nittany Lions as the new Irish running backs coach.

Seider has a strong history of playing multiple running backs (Nick Singleton/Kaytron Allen), which fits what Notre Dame needs (Love/Price) and has recruited at a high level. https://t.co/MgkU5Csp1J

Seider bagan his coaching career at Marshall and became the RB coach for the West Virginia Mountaineers (his alma mater) from 2013-2016. He was hired by Penn State in 2018 to coach running backs, and in 2021 he added the Co-Offensive Coordinator role as well. He is known as an excellent recruiter and did a really great job keeping a stacked running back room happy with Nic Singleton and Kaytron Allen.
Seider would fill the vacancy left by Deland McCullough who left the Irish for the NFL and the Las Vega Raiders.
While the official announcement could still be a week or two away, Notre Dame did an excellent job here of finding what appears to be a really good fit for the Irish.
