Jordan Clark will conclude his collegiate career at Notre Dame.
The defensive back, and son of former NFL safety Ryan Clark, is joining the Fighting Irish after five seasons at Arizona State. The younger Clark wrote that he “can’t wait to get to work” at South Bend.

Clark elaborated further on his decision to transfer to Notre Dame.
“I wanted to spend my last year somewhere where I could grow as a student athlete, and I don’t think there’s anywhere better for me to do that than ND,” Clark told On3’s Hayes Fawcett. “I’m going to play in an NFL defense surrounded by some of the best players in the country. Being coached by guys whose attention to detail is second to none in a building where everybody is dead set on not just getting to the playoff, but winning. Not to mention all of the tradition and history that ND has already. Really doesn’t get any better than that.”
After collecting two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown) in 2022, Clark tallied a career-high 50 tackles and nine passes defended for the Sun Devils this season. ASU went 3-9 under first-year head coach Kenny Dillingham, ranking 110th out of 133 FBS teams with 31.8 points allowed per game.
Clark now joins a Notre Dame team that finished 9-3 with the eighth-ranked scoring defense and offense behind Marcus Freeman. The Fighting Irish are preparing for a Sun Bowl matchup against Oregon State on Dec. 29.
