There will apparently be a whole new way to enjoy Big Ten and Notre Dame football in the not-too-distant future.
In a new press release, NBC Sports announced a partnership with Cosm in order to present future Notre Dame and Big Ten football games along with the Premier League and other NBC properties on “Shared Reality.”
The presentation is advertised as one that “bridges the virtual and physical worlds through Cosm’s pioneered technology and 87-foot diameter, 8K+ LED domes.”
NBC Sports vice president of programing and owned properties Gary Quinn said in the release that they’re excited for the future of the viewing experience for fans.
“We’re excited to partner with Cosm to offer fans a unique viewing experience for some of the most prestigious properties in our portfolio,” Quinn said.

NBC has a shared media rights partnership with the Big Ten through the 2029-30 academic year. They share the rights with rivals CBS and Fox.
So if they have a way to offer a more unique – or simply better – viewing experience to the audience, that’s something they’re probably going to dive headfirst into.
