There were plenty of big moments at Kyle Field during Saturday’s big Notre Dame-Texas A&M game, but one of the most interesting moments happened on the sideline with a college football fan.
Taking to X this weekend, football fan Lucy Rohden – a rising social media star who has appeared on The Dan Le Batard Show With Stugotz – shared a video of U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) walking along the sidelines and passing her.
When the Senator does cross her path, Rohden turns the camera to herself and feigns gagging.
The video has gone viral with 3.8 million views and 62,000 likes since Sunday.
Fans had some pretty funny responses to the video too, mostly about Cruz’s wardrobe in the video:

“Did you immediately place a bet against the Aggies once you saw him?” one user joked.
“Ted looks like he’s wearing his high school suit,” wrote another.
“Keep Ted Cruz away from every longhorn game for the foreseeable future this man is more cursed than Drake,” a third declared.
Cruz has garnered a reputation for being unlucky for the teams he’s at games to support. He’s made his presence known at marquee games for Baylor, Texas and Texas A&M – all losses.
Little wonder that so many fans in the comments joked that they had the same reaction as Rohden.
